Microscopic Bugs

Up close and (wildly) personal:

These images, taken with a scanning electron microscope and shared, courtesy of UF Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research’s Electron Microscopy department, show some common insects magnified many times over. The high-powered microscope, which uses an electron beam, can magnify the tiniest objects up to 300,000 times their original size. In some of the photos colors have been added to enhance details.
